Zagreb (1996 Irish Derby, pictured above) - "I knew Zagreb had tremendous talent and on his day he was an awesome racehorse. But the challenge was to get him mentally right. I wasn't sure on Derby day but I knew he had it in him."

Go And Go (1990 Belmont Stakes) - "People forget he went off third favourite for the Belmont because he'd won the Grade One Laurel Futurity as a two-year-old. He not only won easily, he beat the Kentucky Derby winner Unbridled."

Blue Wind (1981 Oaks) -"It was an emotional time because my father had just died but Blue Wind was awesome at Epsom. Lester Piggott rode her and she won very easily before coming back to the Curragh to win the Irish Oaks."
