UCC Demons and UL Eagles remained ahead of the pack after this weekend’s round of games in the Nivea For Men’s SuperLeague.

Eagles were made to work for their win as they battled with gutsy DCU Saints in Dublin yesterday. The game was level entering the final minutes but last year’s champions shone through as they turned the screw late to win for a finish by 16.The win leaves Eagles one game back from UCC Demons who made an easier job of remaining atop the SuperLeague, beating Moycullen in Cork on Friday night by 30 points.

The upset of the weekend went to Dublin Inter who ended Bord Gáis Neptune’s four game winning streak by beating the Cork team 66 to 55 in the second win of the season for Inter.
