GAA PRESIDENT Christy Cooney has offered his condolences to the family of Patrick Dinsmore who collapsed and died while playing minor football for St Peter’s GAA Club in Down on Sunday.

Patrick was playing at left-half back when he collapsed off the ball and despite the best efforts of medical professionals present he was pronounced dead that evening at Daisy Hill Hospital.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dinsmore family, Patrick’s wide circle of friends and the players and members of St Peter’s GAA Club,” said Cooney.
