Referee Claus Bo Larsen got into a spot of bother last week after West Ham's Paolo Di Canio claimed the Dane had cursed at him during the UEFA Cup match against Steaua Bucharest, while accusing him of diving, and then warned manager Harry Redknapp to substitute him or he'd send him off. "He said to me, `get up bastard' twice. The referee was crazy," said Di Canio. Larsen, though, issued an impassioned denial of Di Canio's allegations after the game: "I didn't say `get up bastard', I said `get the f*** up'." That's alright then.
