Johnny Magee
Dublin centre back
"Last year he was in and out of form a bit but, in fairness, this has been a good year for him. He seems to be a lot fitter and a lot stronger now but the only thing is I think Meath will have done their homework on him.
He got those two goals the second day against us but one of them was unlucky for us in that Paddy Christie just slipped. He got inside for the other goal and kicked with his left although he looked set to kick with his right.
That was unfortunate for us but defenders will have days like that. The question for Meath now is who they will put on him, but with Mike Frank Russell in the other corner you can't afford to rule either of them out. It may be that Darren Fay goes on one of them.
But I think Kerry learnt an awful lot in the two games against us. I actually felt we were slightly fitter than them but I can't see that being a major factor on Sunday. Kerry probably have a little more fire-power and that would be the only reason why I would slightly fancy them.
Whoever does mark John Crowley is going to have a hard job, and with so many other strong forwards I can see Meath having some problems.

"I had him singled out before our game as the man to watch, but as it turned out Mike Frank Russell did most of the damage against us. John only scored 0-3 so we actually did as good as anyone in keeping a limit on him.
I wonder now how we did that because he is playing so well. But I'm not surprised at all with his form. I felt he should have got an All Star last year. I was so surprised to see him come off in the final and I'd be even more surprised if he doesn't get an All Star this year.
Against Nemo Rangers in the Munster club championships last year he was in amazing form. He more or less kept Glenflesk in the game by himself. I knew then he was going to be one of the best players in the country and was going to reach the top of the game.
But it's all about confidence. He wasn't totally sure of his place until this year but now that he's starting every game he's reached a new level of maturity. Some people see him just as a goal scorer but he's a way more rounded player than that. Whether the ball comes in high or low he can deal with it and at this stage he has improved every part of his game. He can deal with all this pressure as well because he is very level headed. He is so strong on the field and it was a fantastic performance against Dublin in the second match. Overall, I would slightly favour Kerry to win this but whenever Meath are involved you know it's going to be bruising, and it may be that some of the lesser known names will make the difference.

"I think he has definitely improved his shooting this year and that has been one thing. He's put up a lot of important scores now but he's such a powerful player as well, and a very hard man to dispossess once he gets the ball.
Right now he is definitely Kerry's main man. Mike Frank Russell has been a little quiet for the last couple of games, though you can't count him out for long. But John has definitely taken over the limelight. He's always had the potential to be one of the top scorers in the country, but I wouldn't see it as a sudden step up. He's always been thereabouts but this year he seems to have left no stone unturned.
He made a big difference against us because it was touch and go for so long but he came up with some of the crucial scores in the end. And even though he's a big man he's able to get round a lot of players as well.
I can't see pressure getting to him at this stage but he's proven everything already this year. He's won man of the match in the last three Kerry games, so he's nothing left to prove. He's definitely up to producing another big game, and even though he'll be tightly marked on Sunday I can see him playing very well again.
