Aidan O'Brien yesterday nominated Ciro as his likely runner in Sunday's Group One Grand Criterium at Longchamp and intriguingly didn't rule out a dramatic switch from the Breeders Cup Sprint to the Mile for Stravinsky.

The July Cup and Nunthorpe winner is among the favourites for the Gulfstream Park Sprint on November 6th but that long-term plan could be altered.

"Plans change and we will keep our options open. Stravinsky is in both races and we are ruling nothing out," said O'Brien, who admitted to having concerns about how Stravinsky would take to the kick back on the dirt track in the Sprint.

The Mile is run on Turf but Stravinsky has failed to win in four attempts over seven furlongs so far in his career.
