CRESCENT reached the semifinals of the Munster Schools Senior Cup with a deserved victory over Glenstal at Thomond Park yesterday.

They wrapped up the game in the first half after which they led 10-0 having played against a strong wind. After that it was a much closer affair and Glenstal fully extended the winners in the second period.

Crescent went ahead after 25 minutes when out-half Dermot McInerney made a break and sent centre Stephen Conway over. The second try came when winger Jim O'Brien scorched down the right wing to touch down.
