SPARE a thought for Limerick sportsman, Francis Brosnahan, who has a hectic weekend coming up assisting his clubs in two different codes and in two different countries.
As selector to the Munster rugby team, he will sit on the bench in Toulouse on Saturday afternoon as they attempt to beat the home club for a place in the next stage of the European Cup.
As soon as the final whistle blows, his thoughts will be on an immediate return to Shannon to assist Claughaun in their first wound Munster Club football championship game against Clonakilty. Brosnahan has been an ever present with Caughaun for the past 15 years, collecting seven championship medals with them.
To show that he is the sportsman for all seasons, last Sunday he played for Aisling Annacotty in their FAI Junior Cup game against Fairview Rangers, but was on the losing side.
