LIMERICK SF: A SERIOUS injury to Fr Casey's and Limerick player, Tom Cahill brought the first Limerick football final to be played under lights to an abrupt end when the game between Drom-Broadford and Fr Casey's was abandoned.
Six minutes into the second Cahill suffered a suspected broken leg when he collided with one of his own players at a time when the scores stood at 0-5 each after a very entertaining first half.
The player was left lying prostrate on the ground for some 32 minutes before taken away by ambulance and following consultations between all parties it was decided to abandon the game.
