Richard Coughlan could afford himself a smile of self-satisfaction as he walked off the ninth green - his 18th - to the recorder's tent after the second round of the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic in North Carolina yesterday.Although seasoned American players' Bob Estes and Hal Sutton shared the midway lead on 12under-par 132, Coughlan showed his survival instincts to make the cut by firing a second round 68 to add to his opening score of 74 for a 36-holes total of two-under-par 142, a shot inside the mark. However, Keith Nolan failed in his attempt to overcome a disappointing first round, shooting level par 72 for a total of 145.Coughlan had four birdies in his opening six holes to move into the comfort zone.Greater Greensboro Chrysler [Ro] [Bo]Classic (at Forest Oaks course.
