GOLF:BOGEYS AT his closing two holes saw Padraig Harrington shoot a 68 to finish on 10-under-par 278 at the Wells Fargo tournament in North Carolina yesterday.
Harrington got himself into contention when he was six under par for the day through 16 holes but a a three putt on the par three 17th and an over-ambitous approach to the last resulted in dropped shots to end his hopes.
Subsequent to his round a question arose as to whether Harrinton had teed up in front of the markers at the par three 13th. Following a video review and discussion with his playing partner Phil Mickelson it was decided that no offence had occurred and no penalty was applied.
