Cork qualified to meet Tipperary in the Munster Junior Football Championship final with a deserved victory over Clare at Pairc Ui Chaoimh yesterday.

Cork played with a strong wind in the first-half and led by 1-8 to 0-1 at the interval. The goal came after 22 minutes when John Buckley finished off a well-worked move from close-range.

Cork were always in control and, despite a second-half goal from Clare's Frank Lohan, held on for victory.
