The winners made a dream start with a Damien Murray goal and led 1-6 to 0-3 after 19 minutes. A Cathal Parlon goal put the winners in the driving seat, to lead by 2-9 to 0-5 at the break.
Points from Jody Duffy, Shane Dooley and Shane Kelly, an opportunist Shane Dooley goal and a Francis Kerrigan point had the deficit back to a goal, 2-9 to 1-9, eight minutes after the resumption. Points from Damien Murray and Brian Carroll eased Coolderry’s nerves and a kicked goal from Damien Murray nine minutes from time finished matters off.
