March 28th - Wexford football manager JJ Barrett strikes referee Michael Curley after National Football League match against Cavan has been lost to a last-minute penalty.
May 9th - Cork referee Niall Barrett sends off six players in the Carlow-Westmeath Leinster championship match. A motion to declare the match void on the grounds that it was played under the wrong rules is accepted by the Leinster Council but later overturned by the Management Committee.
May 23rd - Kerry's goal in the eighth minute of their Munster championship clash with Tipperary in Tralee is shown on video replay to have gone wide. A motion to declare the match void is defeated by the Munster Council.
June 13th - Referee Michael Curley sends off Armagh's Oisin McConville and Donegal's Martin Coll for separate incidents in an Ulster championship replay. His decisions are effectively overturned by the Games Administration Committee, partly on the basis of disputed video evidence.
July 25th - Offaly referee Pat Horan blows up All-Ireland hurling quarterfinal between Clare and Galway early by not playing sufficient injury-time and ending the match just as Galway looked to have earned a free. Match is drawn and Clare easily win replay.
