LEINSTER COLLEGES SENIOR HURLING B FINAL Coláiste Eoin 2-12 Coláiste Eanna 1-7COLÁISTE EOIN became the first Dublin side to land the Leinster Senior B hurling title in Parnell Park yesterday as they produced a superb display to see off the challenge of fellow Dubliners Coláiste Eanna.
Two goals just before the break set the Stillorgan side up for a comfortable win that saw the southside school add a provincial crown to their Dublin A title.
With the teams evenly matched, the game swung in the favour of Eoin when Seán Ó Conchubhair kicked in the opening goal. Seán McCraith then grabbed a second moments later to extend the Stillorgan side’s lead to 2-5 to 0-5 at the break.
An early goal by John Kehoe in the second half looked to revive the Coláiste Eanna challenge, however, with McCraith and Dónal Sutcliffe keeping the scoreboard ticking over, the Stillorgan school’s large following were able to celebrate a famous win long before the end.
