The British press was full of former England and Scottish internationals reminiscing fondly about past meetings between the two nations last week. Emlyn Hughes recalled arriving at Hampden Park in the England team coach, disembarking hastily and scurrying towards the dressing rooms, only to turn around in time to spot a kilted Scot walking up to the coach and head-butting it. "It was the most incredible thing . . . this fella came out of nowhere. It was a windy day, and his kilt was blowing all over the place in the breeze, showing all his brains, and he just walked up and nutted the bus. I had never seen anything like it in all my life. And I still haven't. But that's what the Scots think of England."
