Nottingham Forest manager Frank Clark wipes away a tear during a press conference yesterday where he announced his resignation.

Clark's decision comes amid continued takeover rumours at the club. Forest haven't won since their opening match in August and are firmly rooted at the bottom of the Premiership. Long-serving defender and England international Stuart Pearce as been asked to decide by today whether to accept the post of player/manager.
