IRELAND'S Cameron Clark stormed into a two shot lead on eight under par second round of 6 at Emporda, in the PGA European Tour Qualifying School II yesterday. That left him clear of Scotland's Finlay Clark who carded a superb six under par 65.

But former British Amateur champion Philip Parkin, moved into a share of the lead from, the early starters in the clubhouse. The Welsh golfer carded a three under par second round of 69 and was joined on five under par by South African Michael Sholz and Andrew McKenzie and David R Jones, both of England.

Loch Lomond golfer Gordon Sherry surrendered his leading position in the second round at St Cyprien in France yesterday but still stayed on course for a starting spot at the final school. The 22 year old added a one under par effort of 72 to his five under par opener to finish in fifth position on 140, one shot behind Ireland's John Murray who shot a superb 68 yesterday.
