Colβiste Chr∅ost R∅ sent out a clear warning to the holders Colβiste na Sceilge following this comprehensive victory over St Colman's in the quarter-final of the Corn u∅ Mhuir∅ at Pβirc U∅ Rinn yesterday.
The Cork city school served notice of their intention in the fifth minute with a Paudi O'Shea goal and while St Colman's replied with a goal from a penalty by Luke Philpott a couple of minutes later, Chr∅ost R∅'s excellent, free-flowing football saw them lead 1-7 to 1-1 at half-time.
The second half belonged to Chr∅ost R∅, who readily carved open their opponent's defence with some great passing movements. Jonathan O'Sullivan began the score rush with two goals in a five-minute spell and outstanding midfielder Colin O'Reilly blasted home another goal to set up an all Cork semi-final against St Fachtna's when the championship resumes next March.
