Three Irish professionals have been selected on the Britain and Ireland 10-man team to meet the United States in the PGA Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales after fine performances in the Glenmuir Club Professional Championship at the Duke's course St Andrews.
John Dwyer (Ashbourne), Damien McGrane (Wexford) and Stephen Hamill (Allen Park, Co Antrim) were all selected after sharing fourth place in an event won by Bob Cameron of Sundridge Park in a play-off with Russell Weir (Cowal). Cameron and Weir tied on 295 with Tom Nash (Lostwithiel) next on 296 and the Irish trio tied for fourth place on one over par 297.
