MUNSTER MFC Limerick 1-13 Waterford 0-11:LIMERICK QUALIFIED for a Munster minor football championship semi-final with Tipperary when they beat Waterford in Bruff last night, with Séamus Carroll's second-half goal proving decisive.

Backed by the very strong breeze, Limerick set off at a cracking pace and picked off a succession of splendid points, including two from midfielder Ciarán Ryan and two more by Pauric McEnery, one from a 45.

At the end of a totally dominant opening spell Limerick turned around leading by 0-8 to 0-3, with two of the visitors' points being scored by Kenny Murphy, Seán Leahy accounting for the other.

Waterford improved in the second half but could never get on terms as Limerick held out.
