A dramatic penalty in the last minute of extra time earned Home Farm the Snickers FAI under-17 Cup at Tolka Park last night.
With a replay looming, Paul O'Reilly upended Home Farm substitute Cillian Brennan. Midfielder Patrick Burke kept a cool head to convert the spot-kick to secure victory.
St Joseph's should have had the game wrapped up in the second half of normal time as the chances came their way, but Eamonn Zayed, David Smullen and Paul O'Reilly all failed to find the target.
Yet Home Farm's Burke and substitute Alan Murphy had two great chances in the last five minutes of normal time but couldn't convert.
However, all that didn't matter with Burke's last-minute penalty which secured Home Farm their first win in this competition since 1992.
