Sligo fought back with late points to seal a deserved replay in Saturday evening's semi-final in Ballina. Corner forward Tommy Brennan came to the rescue with two points in the final 10 minutes.
A Brian Maloney goal after six minutes handed Mayo an early advantage and with Ger Brady and Declan Leonard in fine scoring form, they led 1-4 to 0-5 at the interval.
