GLENTORAN 3 BRAY WANDERERS 0, GLENTORAN WIN 7-2 ON AGGREGATE:TRAILING 4-2 from the first leg, Bray were on a hiding to nothing against Glentoran last night and in truth they didn't put up much of a fight as Keith Long's men fell to a 3-0 defeat in Belfast.
Bray started well and Glentoran goalkeeper Elliott Morris did well to tip over a Dean Zambra free-kick from 25 yards, which looked destined for the top corner.
However, any chance of a recovery disappeared after just 11 minutes when the superb Stephen Carson’s free kick from wide on the left was headed in from close range by Darren Boyce.
Dane O’Connor sent a shot over the bar from 12 yards in an all too brief sojourn forward for the visitors, but Glentoran remained in control and after Boyce, Jimmy Callacher and Andy Waterworth all had half chances to extend the lead Colin Nixon doubled the advantage just before the break when he headed in via another cross from the impressive Carson.
The visitors improved in the second half but, poor play in the final third remained their downfall. They weren’t much better at the back and with 15 minutes remaining Glentoran added a third by way of a penalty after Massey brought down Waterworth and Boyce powered home the spot kick.
