TIPPERARY SHC SEMI-FINAL Thurles Sarsfields 1-17 Toomevara 1-16:PA BOURKE blasted a 29-metre injury-time free to the net to give Sarsfields a sensational win over Toomevara in a thrilling game at Semple Stadium yesterday.

The holders looked to be on their way out of the championship as they trailed by two points in injury-time. A foul on Denis Maher presented Bourke with the match-winning opportunity, and he fired low to the corner of the net to the dismay of Toomevara.

The contest remained close and Sarsfields were 0-15 to 0-13 ahead when substitute Eoin Brislane burst through for a goal and the lead for Toomevara in the 47th minute.

Before the puck out, Sarsfields lost Ger O’Grady to a red card for a foul on Ken Dunne.
