RUGBY:ULSTER HAVE confirmed that Springbok tighthead, BJ (Brendon) Botha will be leaving the province at the end of the season, thereby bringing his imminent move to Munster, as reported in The Irish Timeson Wednesday, a step closer to reality, writes Gerry Thornley.
Ulster are likely to look abroad for a replacement, which will be difficult.
A superb scrummager, Botha’s signing, likely to be confirmed sooner rather than later, and for two years, represents a coup for Munster.
It is also anticipated Munster will soon confirm Anthony Foley’s promotion to forwards’ coach on foot of Laurie Fisher’s departure at season’s end.
