Pool Five Preview/Bourgoin v Glasgow, Stade Pierre Rajon, 7.30: Bourgoin captain Julien Bonnaire is determined there will be no repeat of their dismal showing in last season's tournament when they lost all six Pool matches - including a massive 92-17 defeat by Leinster - this time around.

The 2005 French Championship semi-finalists found their playing resources stretched a year ago, but Bonnaire is adamant they mean business this time.

"Last year was disappointing for us because we simply did not have a big enough squad to make any impact in the Heineken Cup," said the international backrow forward.

"The Heineken Cup is a very important tournament for us and is the closest thing we have to international rugby. It is a great opportunity to play against some of Europe's strongest sides and help make our players even better in the Top 14.

"But we are in a big pool with some big teams, Leinster - again - Bath Rugby and Glasgow Warriors.

"Our ambition is to make at least the quarter-finals this time, but it is so important to try and win your first game, so we must beat Glasgow to give us confidence.

"You must aim to win at least your home games, so Glasgow are the team we are concentrating on at the moment."
