Bray Wanderers 1 Bohemians 4:BOHEMIANS KEPT alive their slim hopes of a place in next season's Setanta Cup with a well-deserved victory over a 10-man Bray in last night's game at the Carlisle Grounds.

Bray went down to 10 men on the half hour when Webster was sent off after being shown a second yellow card by referee Neill Doyle – this time for a foul on Keith Buckley.

Despite this Bray might have broken the deadlock just prior to the interval when Kevin O’Connor burst though the middle to set up a chance for Marty Waters only for Greg Murray to save at the winger’s feet.

Veteran striker Jason Byrne wasted a glorious chance for Bray on 47 minutes when seeing his effort blocked by the advancing Murray at the edge of the box after a clever opening by Waters.

The home side were to regret that miss when ex-Bray man Dave Mulcahy fired home from 14 yards on 50 minutes after running onto a loose ball from midfield.

It got better for Bohemians when they had a second just two minutes later, with Buckley on target from close range after Andy Mulligan crossed from the left.

Byrne had the Seagulls back in contention on the hour when firing home a penalty after Waters was taken down by Michael Barker. But Bohemians replied on 68 minutes when substitute Keith Ward and Dinny Corcoran combined nicely to set up the chance for Mulligan to shoot home.

The icing on the cake for the visitors came when Ryan McEvoy shot past Brian Kane from 30 yards in added time.
