BOHEMIANS consolidated their second placed standing in the National League Premier Division after beating Galway United at Terryland Park on Saturday night.

This was Bohemians' 17th league win of the season and only for Galway United's keeper Robert Forde, the victory margin would have been more.

The opening goal came after 66 minutes when Derek Swan was brought down in the area by Forde, who was booked for this offence. Tommy Byrne scored from the penalty spot. The second goal came on 72 minutes when Tony Cousins laid the ball on for Jonathan Prizeman, who had only been introduced into the fray. He spotted the inrushing Padraig Dully, who scored from two yards.
