Bohemians - 0 Shelbourne - 3: While Shelbourne handed over their title in a manner they would have hoped for, Bohemians' season slumped to an ugly conclusion on and off the field as three second-half goals consigned them to defeat while their supporters hurled missiles on to the pitch after Richie Baker broke the deadlock.
Though there was nothing but pride at stake for these two increasingly bitter rivals, there was added spice to the occasion considering the uncertainty surrounding the position of a handful of players for next season.
Ken Oman is one such player expected to leave and the Bohemians defender was always working overtime as Joseph Ndo pulled the strings and forced the home side on the back foot.
Shelbourne scored eight minutes into the second half. Substitute Baker collected a crossfield ball in the box and turned neatly before firing high into the net.
The game was then halted briefly when Bohemians supporters threw missiles, but within a minute of play restarting they found their side another goal down, with Jason Byrne shooting hard and low through Matt Gregg's legs.
Glen Crowe then irked the home support further by scoring against his former club with a fortuitous, 65th-minute lob.
