A late try and conversion from replacement out-half Simon Coffey was not enough to prevent a rampant Blackrock College from gaining victory in this Leinster Schools' Foster Cup (senior thirds' league) final at Donnybrook yesterday. Blackrock's Kieran Gough scored an unconverted try on 15 minutes before Daniel Moroney kicked a 34thminute penalty for St Michael's. In the second half, Blackrock appeared to be in the ascendancy when prop Ruan D'Arcy went over for a try, which was converted by hooker Brian Kelly. Four minutes from time, Coffey outwitted the Blackrock defence on a mazy run to the line, a try he converted, but a second penalty from Kelly sealed it for Blackrock.
