Following on from the achievement of Micheβl ╙ Muircheartaigh in taking just 12 shots to play five par-three holes at Westmanstown earlier in the month, Richard Scott's win in John Egan's captain's prize at Rathsallagh was just as remarkable.
Playing in the first round, Scott birdied all four par threes, taking just eight shots to play the four holes. He had a net 65 off a nine handicap and followed with a second-round 74 to win the top prize.
