Celtic midfielder Craig Burley yesterday revealed he had to inform several of his colleagues who Jozef Venglos was when the Slovakian doctor stepped in as head coach at Parkhead.
Former Chelsea man Burley remembered surprise choice Venglos from his short managerial stay at Aston Villa during the 1990/1 season - but admitted there were a few blank faces in the dressing room.
"We are pleased to have someone in now and we're not coming in every day having a laugh and a joke about who it's going to be, so in that respect we can just get on with it now," Burley said.
"We've had everybody. I don't think anybody plucked Jozef Venglos' name out of the hat, but I knew him when I was at Chelsea and he was at Villa so I knew who it was. But a few of the lads didn't and maybe hadn't heard of him before."
