John Mulholland Bookmakers slashed the odds on the former Cork coach before suspending the market after a flurry of money was placed on the Nemo Rangers man.
Alan Mulholland – himself, ironically, considered a contender to succeed Kernan having guided Galway to the All-Ireland minor title in 2007 – said his firm had cut the odds after substantial money was placed on Morgan.
