Antonia's Double completed the second leg of a 209 to 1 double for Jack Berry at Redcar yesterday and his Cockerham stable is hoping the filly's success is a good omen for Selhurstpark Flyer who runs at Epsom on Saturday Partnered by Paul Fessey, Antonio's Double, a 20 to 1 chance, made all in the Tote Sprint Handicap and was always staying on too well for the rest, the best of which proved to be Atlantic Viking who was two lengths adrift at the line.
Peter's Imp opened Berry's scoring but not without a little drama as he unshipped John Carroll as they emerged from the parade ring and completed a circuit of the course before being caught prior to the Evening Gazette Classified Stakes. He drifted from 5 to 1 to 10 to 1 as a result, but had shortened a point again at the off, and showing he was none the worse for his exertions won decisively.
Emma Ramsden kept up her splendid scoring rate this season when gaining her fourth success from only six rides with another polished effort on Cool Prospect in the Redcar Amateur Riders' Maiden Handicap.
