Old Belvedere opened their gates for the annual Smithwicks-sponsored Floodlit Cup at Anglesea Road last night. Few would have predicted the hosts' free-flowing second-half domination as Skerries began brightly when out-half Jimmy Dempsey cut through for a try under the posts.

At the break, Belvedere held only a 13-10 advantage but a four-try obliteration ensued.
