BELVEDERE College maintained their superb record in schools cricket when they won the Leinster Senior League for the second in succession and for the sixth time in the last seven years with a facile six-wicket victory over St Joseph's, Rush at Merrion CC yesterday.
Batting first after winning the toss, inexperience showed in the St Joseph's batting - after reaching a promising 39 for the loss of one wicket a complete collapse followed and they were dismissed for a meagre 59.
Belvedere lost two wickets cheaply at the start of their reply but a measured 23 (three fours) by Andrew Cullen put the issue beyond doubt.
