BAYERN Munich hope winger Arjen Robben will be able to play in Wednesday’s tie against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Robben, who missed the first leg due to a calf injury, has been cleared to travel, as has Daniel van Buyten.

“I hope Robben will be able to play, but we’ll have to wait and see,” said coach Louis van Gaal. Bastian Schweinsteiger is available after serving a suspension. On Saturday, Bayern Munich warmed up for the United match by going top of the Bundesliga with a 2-1 win over Schalke thanks to goals from Franck Ribery and Thomas Mueller.
