Racing:THE GROUP One focus may be on Royal Ascot today, but it is "Derby Day" at Down Royal where Jessica Harrington's Banksters Bonus can secure the €62,500 feature.

A total of 11 runners line up for the Magners Ulster Derby including last year’s winner Celtic Dane and the topweight Salute Him who appears to have this race as a first preference over the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at Ascot.

Harrington won the Ulster Derby three years ago with Fantoche and Banksters Bonus looks to have a first-rate chance judged on a fine effort in a Listed race at Leopardstown last week when not beaten far by Laughing.

Down Royal also hosts its Oaks this afternoon and Rory Cleary can guide the 90-rated Stylish One to success now that she has a first start over a mile. Sinndar won a pair of Derbys 11 years ago and while his half-brother Sinntani is not in the same league he can break his career duck in the concluding maiden.
