The unbeaten Fasliyev has been given the nod to represent Aidan O'Brien in Tuesday's Coventry Stakes as the Ballydoyle trainer prepares an in-depth attack on the Royal Ascot meeting.

Twelve horses are being lined up from Ballydoyle, including five representatives from the all-conquering two-year-old crop. In Ireland, O'Brien has saddled 19 juvenile runners; 15 have won. The remarkable strike rate is emphasised by the balance being made up by three runner-up placings and a third placing. But this will be the first sustained comparison with the form of the British two-year-olds.

With the dual winner Fasliyev going in the Coventry, Asanovo will be kept for the Norfolk Stakes. Rossini will take his chance in the Windsor Castle Stakes. The team is completed by the Gowran winner Bach, whose target is the Chesham, while the Leopardstown winner Warrior Queen will represent the fillies in the Queen Mary Stakes.

Of the three-year-olds, Orpen is on target for the St James Palace Stakes on Tuesday, but there will be a lot of interest in the reappearance of the one-time 2,000 Guineas favourite Stravinsky in Wednesday's Jersey Stakes.

Lavery, already a Goodwood winner this season, will run in Friday's Kings Stand Stakes over five furlongs, and the three-year-old team is completed by Carambola (Ribblesdale), Moon Dragon (Queens Vase) and High King (King Edward VII Stakes).

The sole older horse from Ballydoyle will be Bianconi in the Cork & Orrery Stakes. Bianconi took the Group Two Diadem Stakes at Ascot last autumn.

On the jockey front, Kieren Fallon has been installed a 5 to 4 favourite by Ladbrokes to be the leading rider at the meeting. The Derby winning jockey is virtually guaranteed a ride in every race over the four days.

Michael Kinane will also hold a strong hand with his rides for O'Brien, and he has also come in for the ride on David Elsworth's Diomed Stakes winner Lear Spear in the Prince of Wales Stakes.
