Ballinderry 0-17 Cavan Gaels 0-7: BALLINDERRY STRODE into the provincial final at the Athletic Grounds, Armagh, yesterday.
Even from an early stage, it was clear that Ballinderry's route into the decider would be relatively trouble-free, even though the sides were deadlocked at 0-5 each by the halfway stage.
It was in the second half, though, that the Gaels meekly capitulated as Ballinderry turned in a powerhouse display that left their Cavan opponents marooned.
Ballinderry, with Collie Devlin (0-5) and Raymond Wilkinson (0-3) torturing the Gaels defence, Ballinderry hit 11 unanswered points in a blistering spell of dominance which underlined their many sided attributes.
