AUSTRALIA'S cricket players decided yesterday to take part in the World Cup starting on February 14th in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka despite fears about their safety.
"To a man, we are keen to represent Australia in the Cup," captain Mark Taylor affirmed at a press conference after the 14 man squad met the Australian Cricket Board for a two hour discussion on possible dangers during the 12 nation event.
Concerns about security on the sub continent have been fuelled by threats to Shane Warne and Craig McDermott in the wake of the incident packed series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the past three months.
