It is perhaps a measure of the fear and trepidation with which France viewed yesterday's Test match at the Stade de France that led to an amusing error in the match programme (left). The teams were beautifully laid out in the centre spread but alongside the official logo of the IRFU was the following: "Angleterre, maillots verts, culottes blanches, bas verts".

Green jerseys, white shorts, green socks: spot on there but Angleterre? Angleterre translates as England. So France were playing England, disguised as Ireland!
