ARDGLEN ATTEMPTS to secure a fourth win in 10 days when he lines up in the handicap chase at Sligo this afternoon and “Shark” Hanlon’s stalwart could be up to the job.

A winner over two and three quarter miles at Ballinrobe, Ardglen then won twice over two and a half miles at Listowel and at Clonmel on Sunday where he battled back well for claiming jockey Brian Hayes.

The in-form Hanlon though believes three miles is Ardglen’s optimum trip and the seven-year-old is still technically “well in” carrying an 8lb penalty picked up for scoring at the weekend.

Ground conditions will be testing today and that could give Easily Pleased an edge over Give Us A Hand in the two-mile Beginners Chase. Mouse Morris’s runner kept on well after cutting out much of the running when third to Sorceror on soft ground at Ballinrobe.
