An opening blitz of 1-7 without reply from Antrim set Roscommon up for a deserved win in this Division 2A game at Casement Park yesterday.
After corner forward Frankie Dolan hit the goal in the 10th minute, the visitors never looked back. Antrim opted to play against the wind in the opening half and trailed 1-7 to 0-1 - Ronan Hamill getting the point in the 25th minute - at the break before putting in a strong effort after the restart.
They got the margin back to four points at 18 to 0-7 when corner back and team captain Martin Mulholland fired over in the 49th minute, but that was as close as they got.
