MUNSTER MFC FIRST ROUND: Tipperary 1-13 Limerick 0-9:TIPPERARY COASTED into the Munster minor football championship semi-final with an emphatic win over Limerick at Kilmallock yesterday evening.

Limerick only threatened during the early exchanges as from about the 10th minute, Tipperary comfortably build up their lead. After each of the full-forward line of TJ Ryan, Michael Quinlan and Philip Quirke got on the score sheet in a three-minute spell, the Premier County side began to draw away.

The goal arrived on 21 minutes when TJ Ryan found full-forward Michael Quinlivan unmarked and he gave Limerick goalkeeper David Condron no chance. The winners, having played with the breeze, led 1-6 to 0-3 at the interval.
