An intriguing contest looks in store as six colts line up for the Coloroll Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield today. Achilles, Sadian and High-Rise will all be out to stake their Classic claims but this £50,000-added contest can go to the promising Alboostan from Barry Hills's in-form yard.
Teenoso, Slip Anchor and Kahyasi are recent winners of this informative contest to go on to success at Epsom and last year's victor Silver Patriarch came within a hair's breadth of landing the blue riband.

The son of Sabrehill looked in need of the race in the Feilden Stakes over nine furlongs but acquitted himself well giving the impression he would be suited by further.
Sent to the front from the start by Richard Hills, he quickened two furlongs out but was caught near the finish and, not over-punished, went down by a neck to Border Arrow, who was in receipt of 3lb.
The winner has since franked the form by finishing a good third to King Of Kings in the Sagitta 2000 Guineas.
Alboostan had shown himself a smart two-year-old when trained by David Morley, with a four-and-a-half-length third to Second Empire in a French Group One event in October his best run.
But judged on his seasonal debut Alboostan appears to have improved further and will benefit from the step up to tomorrow's extended 11 furlongs. And with the stable enjoying a successful spell Alboostan earns the nap vote in this Group Three event.
Hills can initiate a double an hour earlier with Epsom Cyclone in the £50,000-added Tote Sprint Handicap. Successful on his seasonal debut in a Doncaster maiden when confidently ridden to beat subsequent winner The Downtown Fox a head, Epsom Cyclone has since run well in a 15runner handicap at Newmarket.
He travelled strongly for a long way at Headquarters but was forced to give best inside the final furlong and finished second, beaten three-quarters of a length by Rioja.
Richard Dunwoody rode a sparkling near 300 to 1 fourtimer at Stratford last night. The former champion jockey was successful on Ashwell Boy (10-11f), Fujiyama Crest (4-1), Noble Lord (61) and Amlah (100-30f).
