Students at Inchicore VEC were given the task of promoting, marketing and organising a sports competition as part of their first year studies. Imaginative to the end, the students finally decided to organise a basketball tournament for the over 60s age group.

No venue has yet been decided for the event but tentative negotiations have taken place with a potential sponsor - Masseys Funeral Home. The illustrious company, if they do . . . er, undertake the sponsorship promise dignity, reverence and respect.
