Wimbledon have been fined £50,000 for failing to control their players after a tunnel bust-up in the Premiership game against Chelsea in February, the same punishment Chelsea received when their case was heard four weeks ago. The Wimbledon defender Kenny Cunningham was also fined £5,000 after admitting improper behaviour in response to severe provocation.
A row between the Republic of Ireland international and Chelsea's Dennis Wise started during the game, flared again on the way to the dressing rooms and triggered the violence in the tunnel. Wise was fined Stg£7,500 at the first part of the hearing last month.
A further charge of misconduct against the Wimbledon coach Mick Harford will be heard at a future date.
