BOHEMIANS have been awarded a £100,000 grant from National Lottery funds under the Minister for Sport's "Major Sports Facilities Programme". The money will go towards Bohemians development plans for Dalynount Park, work for which will begin in the next few months.
In addition to the Dalymount grant, the following football clubs have been grant-aided this season: Munster Football Association at Turner's Cross £200,000; Cobb Ramblers Football Club £50,000; Terryland Park, Galway £50,000; Limerick Football Club, Rathbane £100,000; Waterford Regional Sports Centre (Home ground of Waterford United) £50,000, and College Corinthians Football Club £30,000.
Other grant allocations under the capital programme were made to: National Basketball Arena, Dublin £300,000; Foxford Sports Centre, Co Mayo £100,000, Guranabraher Sports Hall, Cork £50,000; Clonmany Community Centre, Donegal £50,000, Celbridge GAA Club, Co Kildare £50,000, Shannon Rugby Football Club, Limerick £50,000; Walsh Park GAA grounds, Waterford £100,000, Wexford Park GAA grounds £100,000.
